This role focuses on leading programs, partnerships, and innovations to strategically grow Amazon's Sub Same Day (SSD) delivery capabilities in Japan. The successful candidate will drive robust planning processes and data-driven decision-making for network expansion and topology optimization, partnering with various functional teams. While the company utilizes AI/GenAI tools and offers opportunities for AI fluency development, the core responsibilities of this role are in operations management, logistics, and supply chain optimization, not in building or researching AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute SSD network expansion strategies, set priorities, and communicate effectively across business partners and stakeholders
  2. Ideate, define, and drive the planning of network topology initiatives for Amazon's SSD network by partnering with stakeholder groups to optimize delivery speed, coverage, and customer experience
  3. Translate customer needs, market trends, and business requirements into a logical sequence for network expansion, mapping our roadmap and program initiatives to measurable business value
  4. Work with operations, supply chain, real estate, finance, tech, and delivery experience teams to prioritize and implement network expansion plans and topology optimizations
  5. Conduct comprehensive analysis of current network performance, market potential, and future growth projections to inform expansion decisions

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Business level of English

Nice to have

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership
  • Experience driving process excellence and productivity improvement initiatives, including Kaizen methodologies
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
