RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Backup and Storage System Administrator in Plano, TX, to support classified programs by developing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT infrastructure. The role involves extensive systems administration for Windows and Linux environments, managing backup and storage systems, designing disaster recovery plans, and providing advanced technical support. A top secret security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
  2. Linux Server management to include installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  3. Windows Server management fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
  4. Design, build, configure, install, monitor, and support the scalable physical and virtual backup environment.
  5. Manage backup operations to include scheduling and monitoring jobs, troubleshooting failures, and monitoring completion and storage capacity.
