Sr Principal Cyber Intelligence Analyst

This role focuses on Information Operations (IO) and Signature Management (SIGMAN) requirements planning and analysis within the defense sector. The analyst will assess, analyze, and document system requirements, conduct studies on operational utility and technical feasibility, and provide input to acquisition processes like JCIDS. The role requires experience supporting senior staff and government program offices, with a strong emphasis on requirements management and defense acquisition.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performs as a Information Operations Planner, focused on signature management and acquisition.
  2. Assesses, analyzes, and documents information operations (IO) signature management (SIGMAN) systems requirements through the conduct of studies and analyses of Major Command (MAJCOM) and Combatant Command (CCMD) documented shortfalls in IO.
  3. Interviews MAJCOM and CCMD staff and provides an assessment of IO shortfalls.
  4. Assist the Air Force Staff in determining trade space for new capabilities to meet DoW-wide IO/OPSEC/deception requirements.
  5. Conduct studies and analysis on operational utility, technical feasibility, investment value, and intelligence availability, as well as rapid weaponization and integration of classified capabilities, evaluating system and operation capabilities/trends and addressing operational needs and capability shortfalls related to fielding needed capability for the DoW.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree and 6 years of experience or a PhD and 4 years of experience
  • Direct experience supporting DoW requirements management and the acquisition processes
  • Direct experience supporting senior staff and DoW
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Active Top Secret Clearance required with the ability to obtain SCI access.

Nice to have

  • 10 + years experience support DoW requirements management and defense acquisition
  • Previous military headquarters staff and/or development command/center experience
  • Experience with doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership & education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTmLPF-P) gap and solution analysis
  • Experience with documents such as Capability Based Assessment (CBA), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Initial Capability Documents (ICD), Capability Development Documents (CDD), Rapid Prototype Requirement Document (RPRD), Rapid Fielding Requirement Document (RFRD), and Capability Production Documents (CPD), or other related acquisitions documents
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, integrate, and reconcile diverse viewpoints on complex budgetary issues to achieve consensus and drive capability development objectives.
  • Exceptional ability to strategically communicate and effectively brief senior US government officials on requirements and capability development initiatives.
  • A collaborator and effective communicator with the proven capacity to work independently and as part of a team to coordinate across multiple Major Commands, Services, Joint Staff and DoW.
  • Familiarity with DoW and/or Service IO including foundational understanding of PSYOP, OPSEC Deception, EW, and Cyber.
