Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer focused on Delinea PAM and MFA solutions, Elastic SIEM, and BigFix for patch management within the C2BMC program for Missile Defense. Requires a Secret clearance and IAT Level II certification.

What you'd actually do

  1. Development of other Cyber Tools, such as Elastic for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and threat hunting, and BigFix for Patch Management
  2. Will develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), policy guides, STIG compliance reports, and configuration baselines
  3. Research and evaluate new features, updates, and best practices
  4. Recommend enhancements to strengthen the endpoint security program
  5. Will provide redlines to engineers and feedback to Cyber Leadership as part of position responsibilities

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Cyber Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience
  • Current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.)
  • Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance
  • 3+ years of experience implementing, deploying, and maintaining PAM (preferably Delinea) or an MFA solution
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security concepts, threat-hunting basics, malware analysis, and zero-trust principles
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong background in Windows Server and client administration within a virtualized environment
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity in DoD, federal government, or similarly regulated environments, including STIG compliance and security baseline management
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of cyber technology and DoD information assurance system certification, hands-on experience with patch management, scanning and auditing, security event monitoring, host-based security, and multi-factor tools
