Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer with expertise in RF datalinks, SATCOM, and Communications Networks to serve as the Comms Resiliency Lead. This role involves researching, designing, developing, integrating, and testing electronic systems, maintaining complex RF communications architectures, and providing technical direction for future comms updates. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8 years of experience, airborne or ground platform integration experience, and a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Research, design, development, integration, and test of a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including RF datalinks, SATCOM and Communications Networks as the Comms Resiliency Lead
  2. Maintaining complex RF communications architectures, systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers
  3. Reporting comms status to Program Managers and IPT Management
  4. Primary Responsible Engineer for complex communications subsystem, supplier technical interface, and focal IPT representative for integration support
  5. As the Comms Resiliency Lead, you will be responsible for the technical direction, execution, and oversight of future comms updates on all RQ-4 Enterprise Contracts.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of related engineering experience
  • Airborne or Ground platform integration experience
  • Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret or Top Secret clearance

  • Current Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

  • Familiar with current network products and technologies such as routers, firewalls, and switches
