This role involves developing and integrating system simulation frameworks, performance models, and algorithms for Northrop Grumman's Product Support organization. The engineer will model operational environments, perform trade studies, and conduct operational and mission effectiveness analysis to support advanced programs and project future metrics for weapon systems. The position requires strong analytical and programming skills, particularly in data transformation, discrete event simulation, and various statistical analyses.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct research, develop models, and perform analysis of a wide variety of system types to drive the development of requirements, refine existing requirements, and influence the pursuit of future technologies and capabilities.
  2. Work within the Product Support organization on forward looking (projection based) metrics to status the health and capabilities of weapon systems.
  3. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and technical writing skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple technical tasks and present to leadership.
  4. Skills in the areas of data transformation, discrete event simulation, Monte Carlo simulations, mathematical optimization, regression analyses, trend & sensitivity analysis, data sampling, and computing are essential.
