Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Enterprise Graphic Designer with art-director aspirations to join their Enterprise Brand Management team. This role involves leading the conceptualization and execution of brand guidelines, creating advertising materials, mentoring junior designers, and collaborating with marketing and engineering teams. The designer will translate complex programs and capabilities into engaging visuals for various audiences, and will be responsible for designing digital and print ads, presentations, webpages, and other marketing collateral. Experience with AI tools for workflow enhancement is mentioned.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the conceptualization and execution of brand guidelines, ensuring consistent representation of our brand identity across all touchpoints.
  2. Oversee and execute the creation of advertising materials, both digital and print, that effectively communicate our message and resonate with both our internal and external target audiences.
  3. Provide guidance, mentorship, and inspiration to junior designers, fostering their growth and encouraging their best work.
  4. Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and engineering teams to align design efforts with overall business goals.
  5. Stay current with industry trends, design technologies, and emerging creative techniques, and apply them to enhance our design approach.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Professional experience in graphic design and art direction.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and creative thinking.
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and the ability to translate brand strategy into compelling visuals.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to guide and motivate a team of designers.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other relevant design software.
  • Mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to implement AI tools into daily workflows for enhanced efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present and explain design concepts to both internal teams and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
