This role is for a Sr Principal Flight Test Engineer (IPTL Level 4) on the AARGM-ER program. The engineer will lead projects within the Test & Evaluation (T&E) Integrated Product Team, working with internal/external customers, program managers, and the customer. Responsibilities include preparing lab test events, supporting flights, coordinating activities at government facilities, defining data requirements, managing budgets (EVM), integrating hardware, creating/validating test plans and procedures, leading test-engineering teams for software/logic integration, managing hardware requirements for test environments, chairing test-readiness reviews, attending external test events, performing setup/data acquisition/post-test activities, serving as CAM representative, performing software/logic integration, and providing status updates. What you'd actually do

  1. Work with internal and external customers to define and document instrumentation, data requirements, and test planning—including acquisition, processing, and analysis—to satisfy test objectives.
  2. Partner with the Cost Account Manager (CAM) to ensure budget needs are met and Earned‑Value‑Management (EVM) estimates (EACs) are accurate.
  3. Lead the test‑engineering team that supports software and programmable‑logic integration for formal test events.
  4. Plan, organize, and manage hardware requirements for both in‑house and external test environments, ensuring all equipment is available and functional.
  5. Chair test‑readiness reviews for internal events such as Formal Qualification Tests, captive‑carriage trials, and live‑fire tests.
