Lead industrial design strategy for Amazon's Personal Robotics Group, shaping the future of human-robot hardware experiences. Drive design excellence at the intersection of AI and physical robotics, creating next-generation products that seamlessly integrate intelligent systems with embodied agents. Partnering directly with Director+ leadership, you'll set new vision and standards for how people connect with robotic technology in their daily lives.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive design excellence from concept to launch, working within a multi-disciplinary team of UX researchers, designers, product managers, engineers, and scientists to develop product experiences and functional prototypes
  2. Establish design frameworks and lead design reviews that incorporate market analysis, customer feedback, and human-robot interaction insights to ensure cohesive experiences across physical and digital touchpoints
  3. Create designs using 2D, 3D, and AI tools that balance safety, product appeal, functionality, and manufacturability, while influencing architecture decisions to optimize physical design within technical constraints
  4. Oversee design and fabrication of compelling prototypes for executive review, collaborating with hardware and software teams to push boundaries and achieve world-class design
  5. Partner with external agencies and vendors by writing design briefs, guiding efforts, and managing deliverables that meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets
