What you'd actually do

  1. Perform as primary Linux Systems Administrator for a classified government contract.
  2. Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and verbal format.
  3. Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
  4. Support multiple networks while ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed and directing others as necessary.
  5. Analyze internal and external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems.

Skills

Required

  • Master's Degree with 6 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of IT experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 10 years of IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of IT experience
  • Security+ CE (or another DOD 8570 IAT level II certification)
  • Linux Operating Systems support experience
  • Linux Workstation and Server management experience
  • current DOD Secret level security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology

  • 10 years of Linux Server Administration experience
  • Red Hat Satellite management
  • Ansible open-source software tool experience in a classified environment
