Sr Principal Model-based Engineering (mbe) Cad/plm Tools

This role focuses on the development and maturation of engineering tools, specifically CAD/PLM (Computer-Aided Design/Product Lifecycle Management), to support Model-Based Engineering (MBE) initiatives. The engineer will work on maturing the digital thread between engineering and manufacturing, documenting use cases, validating tool functionality, and creating training materials. The position requires a STEM degree and significant experience in design, analysis, or engineering tools development, with a preference for aerospace and experience with specific CAD/PLM software.

Skills

Required

  • STEM degree
  • 8 years of related professional/military experience (or Master's with 6 years)
  • Background in design, analysis and/or engineering tools development
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR)

Nice to have

  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance
  • Aerospace design environment experience
  • Experience with Teamcenter and NX (or equivalent PDM/PLM and CAD/CAE applications)
  • Experience developing code for utilities
  • Effective communication and presentation of technical approaches
  • Understanding and working knowledge of SysML
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering practices
  • Experience using system modeling tools (Cameo preferred)
  • Experience defining requirements with DOORS
