Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Network Engineer III in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. The role involves implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure, including configuring and monitoring network devices, supporting core networking technologies like VLANs and routing protocols, and collaborating with IT teams. The position requires a Secret security clearance, IAT Level II or higher certification, and CCNA or JNCIA certification.

What you'd actually do

  1. Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, from vendors such as Cisco and Juniper Networks
  2. Monitor network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues with connectivity, latency, and packet loss
  3. Implement and support core networking technologies, including VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and basic network security controls
  4. Troubleshoot network incidents across LAN/WAN environments, conducting root cause analysis and documenting resolutions
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support network changes, upgrades, and infrastructure initiatives

  • Computer Science, Network Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field degree with 8 years of experience, or Master's with 6 years, or 12 years of experience
  • Current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher
  • Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance
