This role is for a Sr. Principal Pricing Analyst in the defense/aerospace industry, focusing on developing, analyzing, and supporting cost proposals to government and commercial customers. The analyst must ensure compliance with government regulations like FAR and TINA, interact with management and customer representatives, and support audits and negotiations. Experience with pricing databases and proposal submission processes is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops, analyzes, evaluates, coordinates, prepares, and supports cost proposals to government and commercial customers.
  2. Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFP) and proposal documents for compliance with customer specifications/requirements and adherence to company policy
  3. Ensures Northrop Grumman Estimating System compliance and provides interpretation of RFP requirements.
  4. Prepares and presents costs estimates to management, customer representatives and government audit agencies.
  5. Ensures adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), and Northrop Grumman policies and procedures with regard to cost proposal preparation, review, compliance, submission, updates/revisions, and negotiations.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of of related experience in government contracts, subcontracts, estimating and pricing, finance, or business administration or a Master's Degree with 6 years of experience as described above.
  • Experience in the defense/aerospace industry
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, CAS, TINA and other Government procurement regulations as they pertain to bid/costing proposals
  • Experience using MS Office including Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s, Macros, etc), Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience collaborating in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time
  • US Citizenship.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Experience working with Basis of Estimate (BOE) and analyzing BOE quality.
  • Working knowledge of the FAR Part 15 and 31.
  • Experience with different proposal and contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, T&M)
  • Experience using ProPricer.
  • Experience with the concepts, principles and standard practices in costing and pricing.
  • Experience with supplier negotiations and associated procurement documentation.
  • Experience and understanding of statistical analysis and limitations thereof (sample size implications, statistical power, forecast error, etc.)
  • Active DOD security clearance
