Sr Principal Product Manager, Platform

This role is for a Sr. Principal Product Manager to own the platform vision, strategy, and roadmap for a new SaaS platform at Autodesk. The platform focuses on packaging Autodesk Consulting's intellectual property into a scalable digital experience, with a strong emphasis on AI-assisted discovery and personalization to help customers and consultants find relevant knowledge. The role requires defining and driving the AI strategy, working with engineering teams, and managing complex stakeholder environments. It involves building products that span SaaS applications, content delivery, and service delivery, with a focus on intelligent discovery layers and system thinking.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the platform, balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform integrity
  2. Define and drive the AI-assisted discovery and personalization strategy that enables customers and consultants to find relevant workflows, solutions, and knowledge based on their specific context
  3. Partner with lead architects and senior engineers across globally distributed teams to translate product strategy into technical direction
  4. Work with Product Owners to ensure roadmap priorities are effectively executed across multiple scrum teams
  5. Collaborate with Solutions and Services PMs to ensure platform capabilities effectively support content delivery and service consumption experiences

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping complex, multi-stakeholder products
  • Demonstrated experience building AI-enabled applications, particularly in the areas of intelligent search, contextual discovery, recommendation systems, or personalization
  • Experience building products that span SaaS applications, content platforms, and service delivery — not just traditional software features
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in early-stage or rapidly evolving product environments where structure and clarity must be created, not inherited
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to engage meaningfully with architects and engineers on system design, data architecture, and AI/ML approaches
  • Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority at a senior level

  • experience building content lifecycle management products, particularly those involving structured, hierarchical, or reusable content — including authoring, publishing workflows, versioning, and change propagation
  • AI/ML frameworks and application patterns, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, semantic search, and large language model integration
  • Modern SaaS platform architecture and API-driven product design
  • Content management and knowledge management systems
  • Content lifecycle management tooling, including structured authoring environments, library management, and publishing workflows
