Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Earned Value Management Analyst to join their team in Melbourne, Florida. The role focuses on implementing and guiding Earned Value Management (EVM) processes, ensuring compliance with standards like ANSI/EIA-748, and providing training to program teams. Responsibilities include performance measurement, variance analysis, forecasting, baseline management, and supporting government reviews (DCMA, IBRs). The position requires a Secret clearance and experience with cost and schedule control tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as the EVM focal point between technical, cost, schedule, and program management teams.
  2. Build partnerships with program personnel to support program execution while maintaining compliant EVM implementation in accordance with ANSI/EIA-748, Northrop Grumman System Description, and Corporate Command Media.
  3. Provide on the job training to CAMs for EVMS activities including: Baselining, Forecasting, Change Control, Risk management, monthly performance measurement and variance analysis research and reporting.
  4. Identify and implement EVM process & procedure updates and improvements.
  5. Monthly review of DCMA Earned Value Compliance Metrics (DECM) for independent analysis of program risk areas, reporting of issues to senior management, and supporting program execution team in finding suitable resolutions.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Business, Finance, and/or Aerospace and Defense Business related experience OR a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in Business, Finance, and/or Aerospace and Defense Business related experience
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and experience
  • Experience interfacing with government audit agencies, such as the DCMA and/or the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and/or other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations

Nice to have

  • 5+ years’ experience with Earned Value Management
  • Experience with common cost management tools, such as COBRA
  • Experience with common scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Empower and/or Open Plan (OPP)
  • Experience leading programs in audits / reviews government agencies such as the DCMA and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)
  • Extensive experience with Subcontractor surveillance and data management
  • Active DOD Top Secret clearance and former Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Aerospace/Defense Industry Experience
  • Knowledge of DCMA health metrics
