This role is for a Senior Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst at Northrop Grumman, focusing on developing and managing integrated master plans and schedules for programs. Responsibilities include horizontal and vertical integration across functional groups, tracking plans, performing risk analysis, and resolving conflicts using project management techniques like Gantt, PERT, and Earned Value Management (EVM).

What you'd actually do

  1. Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives
  2. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
  3. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
  4. Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related field OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related field
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices

Nice to have

  • Experience in material cost management
  • Experience with SAP and MPM &/or COBRA
