This role is for a Sr Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst at Northrop Grumman, focusing on developing and managing integrated master plans and schedules for program objectives. It involves horizontal and vertical integration across functional groups, risk analysis, and using project management techniques like Gantt, PERT, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). Experience with MS Project and government defense contracts is required, with a preference for experience in Microsoft Project Server, Deltek Cobra, and Acumen Risk.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives
  2. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
  3. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
  4. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields experience OR a Master's Degree with 6 years of business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields experience OR Associate's Degree with 10 years of business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of business, finance, accounting, program control and/or similar industry related fields experience
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) ​related to aerospace and defense requirements
  • Schedule Management Experience on government defense contracts
  • MS Project Experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
