Sr. Principal Structural Analyst with experience in Design and integration in the Aerospace industry, requiring proficiency in Finite Element Modeling (FEM/FEA) using tools like NASTRAN or ANSYS, understanding of solid mechanics, fatigue, damage tolerance, composite materials, and CAD software. Requires a Bachelor's in STEM with 8 years of experience or a Master's with 6 years, and an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Proficiency in Finite Element Modeling (FEM/FEA) using tools like NASTRAN, or ANSYS.
  2. Key skills include understanding solid mechanics, fatigue, and damage tolerance, often with experience in composite materials and CAD software.
  3. Strong knowledge of classical structural analysis techniques, including free body diagrams, statics, mechanics of materials, and structural dynamics.
  4. You may be required to attend or present at internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's in STEM discipline AND 8 years of experience in design and integration OR Master's in STEM discipline AND 6 years of experience
  • Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Supplier Management Team (SMT) experience

Nice to have

  • Active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with the design, analysis and integration of environmental control systems
  • Software tools experience with NX and/or CPLM
  • Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures
  • Experience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRL reviews, etc.
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions, within cost and schedule constraints, across the various phases of the engineering lifecycle.
