Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join their F-35 Program team in San Diego, CA. This role involves developing supply chain strategy, managing GSC scope, participating in make/buy and capacity planning, leading supply chain execution, and briefing program leadership on GSC status. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience in a related field, project management experience, and experience with SAP or similar MRP systems. A Secret clearance is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop supply chain strategy and leads activities for GSC in all phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP), working with program and other cross-functional team members from requirements establishment through final material deliveries
  2. Manage the GSC scope for multifaceted program(s), proposal through close-out; coordinate interdepartmental activity, facilitate internal/external team communication, coordinate with Suppliers, and integrate efforts across all GSC functions
  3. Participate in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management. Analyze and aggregate supply / demand requirements.
  4. Lead supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolution
  5. Participate in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. Create/release requisitions. Receive/review requirements for non-standard parts. Analyze lead times and identifies critical path procurements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. We will consider 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in project management
  • Direct experience working in Supply Chain / Logistics
  • Experience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s)
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance

  • APICS/ASCM Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification or similar
  • Experience in working with or in the areas of supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, or supplier/program/product scheduling
  • Experience with or in-depth knowledge of Federal and Defense Contracting requirements including FAR/DFARS/ITAR
  • Significant experience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s)
  • Highly proficient level of experience with Excel and ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Earned Value Management methodology and subject matter
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
  • Demonstrated success/experience in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering or program management
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management across multiple levels of an organization
  • Experience working with multiple complex contracting types and agreements
