Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Architect Engineer to support the C2BMC program, which enables U.S. missile defense operations. The role involves defining the architecture for command-and-control and battle management systems, collaborating with various engineering teams, and interfacing with customers. The position requires a Secret clearance and specific DoD 8140 certifications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Candidate will be responsible for creating System Architecture solutions and concepts for a variety of new and emerging capabilities for the C2BMC system, in collaboration with other Architects, including the lead Systems Architect, software architects, network architect, and cyber architect
  2. Communicates and collaborates with other teams, including software developers, network engineers, cyber engineers, DevSecOps teams, infrastructure teams, test teams, and deployment teams, on System Architecture solutions
  3. Candidate will present architectural concepts to a wide range of audiences and serve as the focal point for the System Architecture for the Capability for the development, test, and deployment efforts
  4. Candidate will present at internal and external design reviews
  5. May assist with documenting or reviewing architectures in an MBSE tool such as CAMEO

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • 8 years of experience (or Master's with 6 years, or 9 years experience)
  • current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher
  • current, active in-scope DoD security clearance

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • experience with MBSE tools such as CAMEO
  • experience with Agile Scrum teams
