Senior Principal Systems Integration & Test Engineer (Level 4) at Northrop Grumman in Baltimore, MD. Responsible for production follow of systems through their life cycle, coordinating with Engineering leadership and cross-functional teams, and participating in system sell-off and delivery. Requires a STEM degree with significant experience, strong knowledge of production, system hardware, requirements, mechanical background, and EVM experience. Must have a Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform production follow of systems through their life cycle to ensure sell-off and delivery of systems
  2. Participate in the preparation of internal and external communications to leadership
  3. Perform CAM responsibilities as needed reporting to Program leadership
  4. Participate in the sell-off and delivery of systems, coordinating with Mission and Quality Assurance to ensure sell-off criteria have been met.
  5. Serve as liaison between union technicians and supported program.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience, a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience in a STEM discipline. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a project lead, IPT lead, CAM, technical lead, or program lead responsible for delivering program tasks, milestones, or contract deliverables.
  • Strong knowledge of production and system hardware follow, understanding of requirements, have a strong mechanical background and strong earned value management (EVM) experience
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working with personnel from different technical disciplines as well as strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience tracking milestones and executing tasks in accordance with approved program schedules.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access (SAP)
  • Knowledge of RADAR Systems
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering concepts, including requirements analysis and verification planning and execution
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate internally
  • Ability to work onsite in Baltimore, MD

Nice to have

  • 2 years’ experience as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager or Technical Lead on programs.
  • 2 years experience supporting the development, integration, testing, or production of sensor systems radar or related mission systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating activities across dispersed teams. Including collaboration with personnel located at multiple sites, customer locations, or remote work environments.
