Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Voice Engineer with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Cisco voice solutions, including VoIP, VTC, and unified communications systems. The role involves developing dial plans, configuring Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), supporting VTC systems, monitoring voice/video quality, performing system upgrades, and troubleshooting complex voice-related issues. The position requires a Master's degree with 6 years of experience or equivalent, a current IAT Level II certification, and a Secret security clearance. Experience with LAN/WAN, Cisco hardware, and excellent problem-solving skills are necessary.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement Cisco voice solutions, including VoIP, VTC, VQ, CMS, Jabber, and other unified communications systems.
  2. Develop and maintain complex dial plans, route patterns, translation patterns, route lists, groups, and calling search spaces.
  3. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) routers for SIP trunking and inter-site voice routing.
  4. Support and troubleshoot video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, including Cisco Telepresence, Room Kits, and integration with third-party platforms.
  5. Monitor and optimize voice/video quality using tolls like Cisco VQM, RTMT, and third-party monitoring platforms.
