Workday is seeking a Sr/Principal Workday Financials Functional Consultant to join their APAC Financials team. The role involves implementing the Workday Financials solution for customers, requiring expertise in financial systems, configuration, data conversion, and testing. The consultant will work closely with customer teams to design, configure, and deploy solutions, ensuring successful adoption and adherence to Workday best practices. The position requires extensive experience with ERP financial systems and functional expertise in areas like General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Procurement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with the customer's project team to design, configure and deploy their functional requirements.
  2. Become an expert in the Workday Financial Management product suite
  3. Perform the following on an engagement: understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate the configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist the client in testing the Workday solution
  4. Work with the client to help convert legacy data into Workday
  5. Assist the integration consulting team to configure and test integrations between Workday and third party/custom solutions

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years implementing Financial, and/or Expense Management ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, Lawson, etc.) as either a consultant or customer
  • Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company
  • Functional expertise in at least one of the following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Procurement, Asset Management, Projects, Expense Management, Financial Reporting, or Budgeting
  • Workday Financials Expertise
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.

  • Experience deploying multiple projects simultaneously a plus
  • Bachelor degree or relevant experience required
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
