Sr Product Manager - Development Tools

Workday is seeking a Sr. Product Manager for their Development Tools team. This role will focus on improving the developer experience by enhancing code authoring, management tools, and supporting the development pipeline. The Product Manager will lead product discovery and delivery, define and execute the product roadmap, collaborate with engineering teams, and communicate with stakeholders. The role requires 6+ years of Product Manager experience with a technical understanding of developer tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead product discovery and delivery to help achieve exceptional product outcomes for our customers
  2. Define and execute the Product roadmap aligned with our overall Development Tools Org Strategy
  3. Collaborate internally with the engineering and automation teams to transform user pain points into functional specifications and storyboarding
  4. Build and deliver continual value to the business, making thoughtful trade-offs and taking calculated risks within an Agile Scrum environment.
  5. Develop presentations, mock-ups, flowcharts, and product demonstrations to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders.

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years of Product Manager experience
  • Ability to own several product lines including feature prioritization and drive the execution, building a strategy for the next features you will own
  • Technical understanding of Developer and Productivity Tools that assist software engineers and automators

Nice to have

  • Experience with Agile scrum methodology.
  • An inherently proactive and collaborative style that enables you to win the hearts and minds of your peers to successfully implement a complex product roadmap, with execution often happening across teams.
  • Excellent communications and influencing skills across all levels of a large organization
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the cross-team developer community to understand their pain points and preferences.
  • Experience with WD Developer Tools (such as Coffeehouse, XORC, etc) is a plus
