This role is for a Senior Product Manager Technical (PMT-ES III) to own product strategy for Amazon SageMaker AI, focusing on the customer experience for building, training, and deploying ML and GenAI models. The role involves defining roadmaps, prioritizing features, and translating complex ML workflows into user-friendly experiences. SageMaker is described as an industry-leading platform for ML and GenAI applications, enabling customers to customize foundation models, optimize inference, and operationalize AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and execute product strategy and roadmap for your product area, working backwards from customer
  2. Drive feature prioritization and launch planning
  3. Own P&L reporting and business metrics, tracking adoption, usage, and revenue growth
  4. Partner with engineering teams to define technical requirements and specifications for new features
  5. Work with AWS service teams to integrate SageMaker with broader AWS ecosystem

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
  • 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
  • 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
  • 7+ years of full product life cycle experience
  • 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience
  • 5+ years of creating written docs for development of new products experience
  • 5+ years of enterprise security product experience
  • 5+ years of product management in the cloud computing technology space experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics
  • Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
