Sr. Product Manager I, In-vehicle Experience

Samsara Samsara · Enterprise · San Francisco, CA · Remote · Safety

Product Manager for Samsara's In-Vehicle Experience (IVX) platform, focusing on turning AI-powered dash cameras into intelligent companions for drivers. The role involves owning the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, defining features, and collaborating with engineering and AI/ML teams to integrate intelligent features. The goal is to improve driver safety, efficiency, and connectivity.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Samsara’s In-Vehicle Experience platform — the system that governs all voice, content, and communication delivered to drivers through the dash camera.
  2. Define and prioritize a portfolio of features that allow our clients to interact with the in-cab camera as a trusted companion to their daily workflow
  3. Build the in-vehicle experience platform and prioritization layer for internal teams
  4. Partner with firmware and full-stack engineering teams to navigate hardware and embedded system constraints and deliver polished, reliable in-cab experiences.
  5. Champion the driver’s perspective through continuous customer research — conducting ride-alongs, interviews, and usability sessions to deeply understand how non-desk workers interact with in-cab technology.
