This role is for a Senior Product Manager focused on marketing productivity tools within Amazon Japan. The primary responsibility is to understand the needs of the Japan marketing team, identify opportunities for technology (especially generative AI and automation) to improve their workflows, and develop product strategies and roadmaps. The role involves partnering with global product teams, cross-functional teams (Engineering, Data Science), and driving end-to-end product delivery. While the role leverages AI tools and focuses on AI-powered marketing, it is not a hands-on AI/ML development role.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop a deep understanding of the Japan marketing team's goals, workflows, and priorities; translate that understanding into product decisions that help marketers focus on their highest-value work
  2. Own the product strategy and roadmap for marketing productivity products in Japan, with a view toward how AI and automation will reshape marketing operations over time
  3. Identify where technology can deliver the greatest impact; prioritize product improvements and new feature development accordingly
  4. Serve as the primary liaison between the Japan marketing team and global product teams, ensuring Japan-specific requirements are reflected in the global roadmap
  5. Identify and execute opportunities to leverage generative AI and automation to help marketers work faster and make better decisions

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, program management, marketing, business development, or technology
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Experience driving product roadmap and strategy
  • Experience delivering products end to end — including prioritization and tradeoffs
  • Business-level Japanese (spoken, written, and reading)
  • Experience working with stakeholders across different levels of an organization
