Sr. Product Manager - Tech, Amazon Private Brands

This role is for a Sr. Product Manager - Technical to own and drive products within Amazon Private Brands Central (PBC), a product lifecycle management solution. The goal is to reduce time to market and enhance productivity by rethinking retail development and product management norms, with a focus on exploring how Gen AI can automate retail tasks and improve throughput. The role involves setting product vision, defining requirements, and building solutions from scratch, interacting with global stakeholders across various retail categories.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and drive products within PBC
  2. Work with stakeholders across global marketplaces in Hardlines, Softlines, and Consumables to define requirements and gain alignment to deliver a seamless product experience for your modules
  3. Set the vision and build solutions from scratch
  4. Alternating between big picture thinking and obsessing with the details, identifying risks, and being a true product owner
  5. Develops an externalized module for sourcing Request For Quotations (RFQs) from APB suppliers, launching an automated process to manage sustainability and quality related claims for APB products, and automating ASIN and Detail Page creation on Amazon systems

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Nice to have

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
  • Knowledge of general AI tools
  • Bachelor's degree or above in econometrics, statistics, industrial engineering, operations research, optimization, data mining, analytics, or equivalent quantitative field, or experience in defining and creating benchmarks for assessing GenAI model performance
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences
