What you'd actually do

  1. Design & Own B2B Profitability Strategy: Architect the integrated profitability improvement framework encompassing cost-to-serve reduction (shipping consolidation, bulk packaging, cancellation reduction), vendor margin improvement, and advertising revenue acceleration. Unlike B2C where these are separate workstreams, you will design how they interconnect and reinforce each other for B2B.
  2. Influence & Drive Execution through Category Teams: You will drive execution through retail category(GL) teams to commit to and execute vendor margin improvement actions. This requires building compelling business cases, providing analytical frameworks, and establishing mechanisms that ensure GL teams deliver on profitability commitments.
  3. Expand Vendor-Funded Pricing Programs: Lead the expansion of vendor-funded pricing programs with key JBP brands across all Hardlines (incl. Ent. Media) categories. Establish standardized commercial terms and ensure effective fund allocation across discount and competitive pricing programs.
  4. Align Worldwide Stakeholders & Drive Cross-Functional Execution: Align with WW Amazon Business teams, JP retail leadership, finance, operations, advertising, and sales teams. Build consensus through documentation and regular reviews, ensuring Japan's profitability initiatives are integrated with global strategy and that cross-functional partners deliver on shared commitments.
