This role is for a Senior Technical Program Manager on the HR Operations & Analytics Program Management team at Nordstrom. The primary focus is to drive initiatives that deliver value to Nordstrom and its employees, specifically by supporting workforce management systems and enabling the responsible adoption of AI technologies within HR functions. The role involves consulting on technology utilization, optimizing workforce management tools, partnering with stakeholders on AI initiatives, managing projects, defining tool needs, and owning roadmap execution for HR technology and analytics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Consult internal partners on effective utilization of technology to support their processes
  2. Support Workforce Management teams by enabling and optimizing Workday Scheduling and Labor Optimization tools
  3. Partner with non-technical and technical stakeholders to support initiatives connected to artificial intelligence, including evaluating AI-driven tools and enabling responsible adoption across HR functions
  4. Hold HR and Technology stakeholders accountable to design principles
  5. Collaborate with technology teams and business leaders to enable core capabilities and deliver business value

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of successful program, project, or product management experience with demonstrated successful delivery of SaaS solutions
  • 4+ years of HRIS and/or Workforce Scheduling & Labor Optimization tool experience in a large corporate environment
  • Understanding of AI technologies and their application within HR, including evaluating and enabling responsible use of AI-driven tools and platforms
  • A proven track record of consistent and measurable delivery of large cross-functional and high-profile initiatives
  • Strong technical knowledge with experience managing technical initiatives that span several teams and functional areas
  • Familiarity with agile development frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Possess a strong level of knowledge of technology (e.g., Cloud, APIs, services, Windows stack, database technologies, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees across all organizational levels, including communicating with technical & non-technical audiences
  • Organizational and planning skills, including being able to work reliably and efficiently under demanding deadlines with minimal supervision and to self-manage projects

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of configuration-level Workday experience (HCM & Scheduling) preferred
