Sr. Prototype Fabrication Technician

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Hardware Engineering : Mechanical Engineering : Dev Manufacturing

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building advanced military capabilities. This role is for a Senior Prototype Fabrication Technician who will fabricate, form, weld, and modify hardware for their defense product portfolio. The technician will work closely with engineers to translate designs into physical hardware, operate fabrication equipment, and mentor junior team members. The role requires extensive experience in welding, metal fabrication, and sheet metal work in an R&D or prototype environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Fabricate and weld parts, structures, and assemblies in support of prototype and development hardware.
  2. Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely, including grinders, bandsaws, shears, drill presses, brakes, rollers, and related shop equipment.
  3. Perform precision fabrication work, including cutting, fitting, rolling, bending, forming, grinding, drilling, and finishing.
  4. Weld small and large structures and assemblies using processes such as MIG/GMAW, TIG/GTAW, and FCAW.
  5. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, technical instructions, and work orders.
