Sr Quality Engineer

This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of new product introductions in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include developing quality assurance strategies, conducting audits, driving continuous improvement, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions. The role requires a strong understanding of quality management systems, root cause analysis, and various quality tools, with experience in regulatory compliance for product manufacturing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead quality assurance activities for new product introduction, VE/CE, EWR projects to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  2. Develop and implement quality plans, inspection criteria, and testing protocols for new products.
  3. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to identify potential quality risks and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  4. Facilitate RCCA for critical issues in field that impact product design

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, mathematics)
  • 6 years of experience in quality engineering with a focus on new product introduction (NPI) in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of quality management systems
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies
  • Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, SPC, DOE)
  • Experience with quality standards and regulatory compliance relevant to product manufacturing

Nice to have

  • Advanced degrees in Engineering or related technical fields
  • Six Sigma or Lean methodologies experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certifications
