Sr. Rack Integration & Hardware Engineer

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Secaucus, NJ · Engineering

This role focuses on the physical integration of AI and data center hardware at the rack level, including mechanical integration, cable management, thermal considerations, and deployment readiness. It supports NPI, prototype builds, and validation, requiring collaboration with various engineering and manufacturing teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead rack-level integration activities for AI and data center hardware platforms from early development through validation and reference design release.
  2. Develop and validate rack-level reference designs, including rack layouts, mechanical fit, cable routing, serviceability, airflow, thermal considerations, power distribution, and deployment requirements.
  3. Plan and execute initial rack builds to ensure configurations meet engineering requirements and deployment readiness expectations.
  4. Support prototype builds, system bring-up, validation testing, design verification, and build readiness activities.
  5. Work with mechanical, thermal, platform, validation, manufacturing, program management, ODM, and partner teams to resolve integration issues.
