Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst

This role is for a Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst at Samsara, a company focused on the Connected Operations Cloud. The analyst will administer sales variable payments, ensure incentive plans are implemented correctly, and commissions are paid accurately. Responsibilities include managing commissions, handling inquiries, validating accruals, supporting new hires/terminations, performing User Acceptance Testing for sales incentive tools, and contributing to process improvements. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in Sales Compensation are required, with experience in automated sales commissions systems preferred. The role is in the Accounting department and supports revenue-generating operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Administer sales variable payments, including commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs in accordance with the monthly commission process and company policies for the commissionable employees in assigned sales teams who require a moderate level of plan administration complexity.
  2. Understand and apply the commission plan consistently, ensuring commission calculations comply with policies and manage exception requests.
  3. Maintain sales comp plan documents templates and execute distribution, ensuring accurate and timely to each employee on an incentive plan.
  4. Address commissions inquiries, adjustments and corrections in a timely manner, providing a positive employee experience when resolving.
  5. Validate accrual and payments results for assigned segments. Provide business drivers for fluctuations.
