This role is for a Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst within the Accounting department at Samsara. The primary responsibility is to administer sales variable payments, including commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. The role involves collaborating with various teams, managing exception requests, validating accrual and payment results, and supporting SOX compliance. Experience with automated sales commissions systems and strong analytical skills in Excel are required. The role is focused on supporting revenue-generating operations through accurate and efficient sales compensation programs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Administer sales variable payments, including commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs in accordance with the monthly commission process and company policies for the commissionable employees in assigned sales teams who require a moderate level of plan administration complexity.
  2. Understand and apply the commission plan consistently, ensuring commission calculations comply with policies and manage exception requests.
  3. Maintain sales comp plan documents templates and execute distribution, ensuring accurate and timely to each employee on an incentive plan.
  4. Address commissions inquiries, adjustments and corrections in a timely manner, providing a positive employee experience when resolving.
  5. Validate accrual and payments results for assigned segments. Provide business drivers for fluctuations.
