This role is a Sr. Sales Specialist for Generative AI/ML within AWS, focusing on the Telco, Media & Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports verticals. The primary responsibility is to drive adoption and revenue growth for AWS's AI/ML portfolio by engaging with C-suite and business leaders, developing sales strategies, and collaborating with technical teams. The role involves full-cycle sales engagement, from pipeline identification to closing deals, and gathering customer insights to inform product roadmaps. While the role is focused on AI/ML products, the core function is sales and business development, not direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the full-cycle specialist sales motion for GenAI/ML within assigned accounts — from pipeline identification through launch.
  2. Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies leveraging AWS Sales, the Partner ecosystem, and cross-functional resources.
  3. Build a qualified pipeline, prioritizing the highest-impact opportunities to maximize revenue attainment against quarterly and annual goals.
  4. Engage C-suite and Line of Business leaders with deep industry expertise.
  5. Collaborate with account teams to develop GenAI-specific strategies aligned with customer business initiatives and AWS win plans.

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
  • Experience building and managing a healthy sales pipeline focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration
  • 3+ years of AIML sales experience
  • Experience as an overlay or specialist seller, or demonstrating success working with them.

  • Experience developing detailed go to market plans
  • Experience proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer's business
