Sr Scientist - Bioconjugation Lilly Medicine Foundry

Eli Lilly Eli Lilly · Pharma · Lebanon, IN

This role is for a Sr. Scientist in Bioconjugation at Eli Lilly's new Medicine Foundry, focusing on transferring and optimizing chemical processes for bioconjugation (like ADCs) from development to clinical manufacturing. The role involves hands-on chemistry, process evaluation, analytical work, documentation, and troubleshooting within a regulated manufacturing environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Experience performing bioconjugation chemistry to form ADC’s including antibody preparation, buffer exchanges and protein specific characterization (DAR analysis, aggregate assessment…).
  2. Actively involved in receiving chemistry from early phase process research and development labs and evaluating the safety of the incoming procedures in collaboration with the safety group and process engineering.
  3. Experience working with highly potent molecules and containment in the lab and production environments as well as working with single-use bioprocessing systems.
  4. Ordering and staging chemicals.
  5. Obtain reference materials and participate in setting up analytical methods.
