What we’re looking for
We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with proven experience building high volume, high performance, and highly available payment services solutions. Your performance will be measured based on improved deployment process-times, reduction in server alarms and more efficient operation of resources. The goal is that our app traffic scales without an increase in error reports and maintaining-improving our error rate, response times, uptime. We need you to have strong scripting skills.
The Role
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will focus on supporting, operating, and enhancing through automation the support to continuous delivery and to continuous integration processes. Successful candidates will have an obsessive focus on automation and building repeatable solutions. They will work in Kubernetes and Cloud environments leveraging services beyond basic IaaS provisioning.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications -2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD) Preferred Qualifications -3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) -BS or MS in computer science or equivalent -Experience in automation of code deployment across multiple platforms -Strong knowledge of Linux and Linux environments (RHEL 6/7, RHCSA/RHCE, CentOS) -Engineering experience in building production infrastructure using code and repeatable designs -Experience developing solutions using automation tools -Experience developing automation infrastructure provisioning tools -Experience with orchestration platforms such as ECS, Kubernetes -Experience integrating CI and CD tools for automated deployment -Experience with caching technologies -Experience with scripting tools -5+ years system architecture required with a demonstrated ability to read code and understand coding logic to assist in troubleshooting -2+ years of experience supporting mission critical production applications -Knowledge in ITIL, SOC 2, and PCI processes and experience evolving to Agile development lifecycles -Knowledge of networking and Cloud networking tools -Ability to articulate complex architectures to non-technical audiences -Ability to document solutions and train operational teams on supportability -Experience with DBMS -Experience on observability platforms and tools -Knowledge of security practices, networking protocols, firewalls, PCI compliance, etc. -Preferable development experience with the following frameworks: Spring Cloud Netflix, Spring Cloud Sleuth, Spring Boot
