Senior Software Development Engineer for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, focusing on building foundational services for creating, deploying, and operating production-ready AI agents at scale. The role involves designing and building core components for agent execution, session state, tool orchestration, security, scalability, and reliability, aiming to simplify the developer journey and influence the technical direction of the product.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and build highly available control plane APIs, data plane services, and managed agent loops for production AI agents.
  2. Deliver secure, isolated execution with tool orchestration, memory, context management, streaming, identity, networking, observability, and failure handling.
  3. Integrate Amazon Bedrock and third-party models with AgentCore services, MCP servers, AWS Step Functions, Strands Agents, and customer-defined environments.
  4. Design versioning, endpoints, progressive deployment, rollback, evaluations, and optimization capabilities that help customers safely improve agent behavior.
  5. Improve latency, scalability, availability, resource efficiency, and cost controls across multi-tenant workloads.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
