Sr. Software Development Engineer - Agentic & Semantic System

Workday Workday · Enterprise · Vancouver, BC

Senior Software Development Engineer focused on building an agentic and semantic system for Workday's Data Cloud. The role involves creating a unified platform for agents to interact with federated data sources, requiring expertise in ML/Agent systems, semantic layers, and MCP server frameworks.

What you'd actually do

  1. spearhead the engineering efforts to bootstrap a unified platform that enables internal and external agents to interact seamlessly with the Workday Data Cloud through a robust semantic layer and MCP server framework
  2. deliver mission-critical capabilities that meet rigorous functional and quality requirements on schedule
  3. architecting, building, and scaling robust and efficient software systems
  4. delivering Machine Learning or Agent systems from experimentation, implementation, validation and monitoring
  5. lead Team Collaboration within a software development team and mentor junior engineers
