Sr. Software Development Engineer at AMD to research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. This includes designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for data analysis and modeling to help system validation, and developing software and tools in support of design, infrastructure, and technology platforms. The role also involves researching, designing, developing, and/or testing frameworks useful for system validation, applying principles and techniques learned in engineering, in particular generative AI-based models and process optimization. Experience with C, C++, Python, software verification, debugging, system workflow validation, GPU programming, code optimization, machine learning, Generative AI, and Git is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Research, design, develop, and/or test frameworks useful for system validation, applying principles and techniques learned in engineering, in particular generative AI-based models and process optimization.
  2. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for data analysis and modeling to help system validation.
  3. Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud-based and Internet related tools.
  4. Determine hardware compatibility and/or influence hardware design.
