Senior Software Development Engineer role within AWS Specialist and Partner Organization focused on building end-to-end self-service solutions for customers to resolve issues independently, thereby deflecting manual work from support engineering teams. The role actively leverages AI-powered development tools, including generative AI and LLM-based code generation, to accelerate delivery and improve code quality. Responsibilities include architecting, designing, and implementing scalable distributed systems, mentoring junior engineers, and driving architectural decisions. The team embraces AI-first development practices to innovate and improve engineering quality.

What you'd actually do

  1. Architect and deliver end-to-end solutions for complex, ambiguous problems where the technical strategy is not yet defined
  2. Design and implement scalable, highly available self-service experiences on the Spectrum platform that enable customers to resolve issues without engaging support teams
  3. Actively use AI-powered development tools (Amazon Q Developer, generative AI code assistants, LLM-based testing/debugging) to accelerate software delivery and improve code quality
  4. Lead technical design reviews and drive architectural decisions across your team’s domain, proactively simplifying code and resolving architecture deficiencies
  5. Mentor and develop SDE I and SDE II engineers through code reviews, design discussions, pairing sessions, and promotion assessments
