Sr. Software Development Engineer, Workshop Studio, Catalog & Events

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · Jersey City, NJ · Software Development

Senior Software Development Engineer to drive the technical direction of the Catalog & Events services within the Workshop Studio platform, focusing on building AI-powered agentic systems for content discovery, participant guidance, automated summaries, and agent-assisted authoring. The role also involves developing multi-tenant platform infrastructure, integration APIs, and evolving the authentication architecture, with a strong emphasis on technical leadership and operational excellence.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build AI-powered capabilities on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore such as content discovery, adaptive participant guidance, automated session summaries with lead scoring, agent-assisted authoring, and simulated participant playthroughs for content validation.
  2. Design multi-tenant content management with per-partner isolation, access controls, and lifecycle tooling. Build integration APIs that let Marketplace and Builder Center provision sandbox environments on demand.
  3. Evolve the auth architecture across multiple identity providers (Federate, Gandalf/Builder ID, Cognito, STS) to support partner authentication, scoped permissions for external users, and cross-tenant content sharing.
  4. Lead design reviews, mentor a team of backend and frontend engineers and produce architectural documents that shape multi-year decisions. Own production health through on-call rotations, incident response, retrospective reviews and runbook maintenance.
