This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing core backend systems for PayPal, a global fintech company. The engineer will define technical roadmaps, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of systems powering millions of transactions. Experience with cloud-native solutions, microservices, serverless architectures, Python, and AWS is required.

What you'd actually do

Work with other engineers, managers, product management, quality analysts, and operations teams to develop innovative software products and solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, availability, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to software development goals and principles.
