This role is for a Senior Solutions Architect at AWS, focusing on supporting early-stage startups in building scalable and secure architectures on the AWS cloud. The role involves working directly with customers, making technical decisions, advocating for product needs, and creating technical content. While Generative AI and Cloud Computing are mentioned, the core function is not AI/ML model development but rather enabling customers to leverage cloud services, including AI services.

What you'd actually do

  1. work directly with a variety of interesting customers and help them make the best (and sometimes the most pragmatic) technical decisions along the way
  2. play an important role as an advocate with our product teams to make sure we are building the right products for the startups you work with
  3. share your knowledge more broadly by working on technical content and presenting at events
  4. help startups as they grow
  5. make sure that they can deploy the best, most scalable, and most secure architectures possible

Skills

Required

  • 12+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
  • Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals

Nice to have

  • 10+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
  • Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
  • Experience working with end user or developer communities
  • Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
