This role is for a Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focusing on AI Engineering within the financial services sector. The primary responsibility is to partner with large financial institutions to design and implement scalable cloud architectures using AWS services, helping them adopt and leverage AWS for their business needs. The role involves understanding customer business problems, providing technical guidance, and acting as a customer advocate to enhance AWS services. While the role is within AI Engineering and deals with AI solutions, the core function is solutions architecture and cloud adoption, not direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. As a key member of the account team, partner with customers to ensure their long-term success by helping them harness the power of AWS services to accelerate their business.
  2. Formulate and execute a cloud adoption strategy that delights our customers and builds strong relationships that lead to strategic revenue streams that exceed AWS objectives.
  3. Become a trusted advisor by gaining deep knowledge of AWS services, design patterns and best practices, and sharing that knowledge with clients, other SAs and the wider AWS builder community.
  4. Act as the voice of the customer for AWS service teams to enhance the AWS platform
  5. Work with other SAs to develop reusable solutions to common business and architectural problems.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
