Sr. Solutions Architect, Amazon Leo

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · Location - Virginia, VA · Remote · Solutions Architect

This role is for a Sr. Solutions Architect focused on driving adoption of Amazon Leo broadband solutions within the telecommunications segment. The responsibilities include engaging with customers to influence roadmaps, designing architectures, developing reference solutions, and translating customer requirements into product direction. The role also involves solving technical and commercial blockers, building partnerships, and creating technical content. While the role mentions "Generative / Agentic AI" in the context of SAP, the core focus is on satellite broadband connectivity and telecommunications networking.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be the voice of the customer — engage directly with mobile network operators, broadcasters, tower companies, infrastructure teams, maritime/aviation providers, and rural broadband deployments to influence the roadmap of new features and service capabilities.
  2. Incubate and launch new solutions — design end-to-end architectures, lead technical discovery sessions, develop reference solutions, and support proofs of concept that enable customer use cases across LEO satellite and hybrid network environments.
  3. Translate customer requirements into product direction — understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with product management and engineering teams to guide the evolution of our offerings, with a focus on carrier-grade networking, WAN architectures, routing, traffic engineering, QoS, and hybrid connectivity across fiber, wireless, and satellite environments.
  4. Solve technical and commercial blockers creatively — develop new product offerings that bridge physical network constraints with scalable IP and cloud-integrated architectures aligned to customer operational goals.
  5. Earn trust through transparency and expertise — build long-term strategic partnerships with customers by demonstrating subject matter expertise in satellite communications, 4G/5G architectures, transport networks, backhaul systems, private wireless deployments, and distributed edge infrastructure.
