This role is for a Sr. Solutions Engineer focused on Mid-Enterprise deals. The primary responsibility is to lead the technical win by architecting solutions, driving technical discovery, and ensuring prospects choose Klaviyo. The role involves deep technical mastery of the Klaviyo platform, modern development stacks, and leveraging AI and automation to enhance customer outcomes and scale impact. While not directly building AI models, the role heavily utilizes AI tools and contributes to AI-powered product improvements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own technical strategy for the most complex opportunities - navigating multi-layered stakeholder environments, competitive pressures, and sophisticated buying processes with minimal oversight
  2. Serve as a domain expert in marketing technology, CDPs, AI-driven personalization, analytics, and eCommerce
  3. Become a complete expert in Klaviyo's platform from data pipelines and integration codebases to technical tradeoffs between implementations
  4. Develop broad, advanced familiarity with web development, APIs, cloud computing, and software development practices - confidently coaching experienced engineers on complex solutions
  5. Leverage AI tools and automation to scale your impact and deliver better customer outcomes

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years in Solutions Engineering or Pre-Sales
  • 4+ years leading technical strategy in high-complexity Enterprise deals (6-7 figures) with minimal oversight
  • 4+ years across modern development stacks: Python, JavaScript frameworks (Node.js, React), RESTful APIs, SQL, mobile development exposure
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Codex, Claude Code) and emerging patterns like MCP
  • Strong domain knowledge in marketing automation, CDPs, eCommerce systems, analytics, or data engineering
  • Advanced discovery and requirements gathering skills
  • Executive presence and exceptional communication
  • Demonstrated ability to handle challenging conversations, manage objections, and deliver strategic insights
