Sr. Spclst , Technical Product Management

Merck Merck · Pharma · PA

This role supports and executes mission-critical Government Pricing, Medicaid, and regulatory pricing technology initiatives within the US Market Access organization. It partners with Finance, Compliance, Audit, and Legal to ensure accurate, compliant, and auditable pricing calculations and system behavior. The role involves hands-on ownership of regulatory technology solutions across various platforms, from requirements through production stabilization, and routinely supports external audits, restatements, and issue resolution. While the role mentions working in an AI-assisted environment, its core function is in regulated pricing technology delivery and support, not AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Implement and support system functionality related to Price Type calculations (AMP, ASP, NFAMP, BP), programs (Tricare, Medicaid, 340B, and IRA MFP), and processes including restatements and remediation efforts.
  2. Coordinate and validate pricing calculation logic, data inputs, and outputs, ensuring alignment between business rules, system configuration, and regulatory intent.
  3. Translate complex Government Pricing business requirements into functional specifications, configuration designs, test scenarios, and implementation guidance for IT and vendor teams.
  4. Provide production support and issue leadership for Government Pricing systems, including job failures, data discrepancies, and calculation defects, coordinating resolution with infrastructure and vendor teams.
  5. Act as a primary IT point of contact for GP initiatives involving internal stakeholders (Finance, Compliance, Audit, Legal) and external partners (e.g., vendors, service providers).
