This role is responsible for overseeing the implementation of environment, health, and safety (EHS) programs across multiple locations. It involves evaluating and controlling workplace environments, designing programs to prevent disease or injury, conducting inspections, and ensuring adherence to laws and regulations. The role also includes managing insurance claims, administering major safety programs, and acting as a subject matter expert on EHS matters, including ergonomics and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with employees and regulatory agencies, as well as data input and review for EHS systems, are key aspects.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for providing oversight for the implementation of the organization’s environment, health and safety (EHS) programs at multiple locations.
  2. Design programs and procedures to control, eliminate and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical and biological agents or ergonomic factors.
  3. May conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals.
  4. Apply appropriate sensitivity level for employees and customers when handling insurance claims for Workers' Compensation, auto and general liability.
  5. Administer major programs ex. confined space, fall protection, set local environmental health and safety goals as well as loss control strategy.
